Our Story
Fancy Freeze wasn’t originally ours, but when the chance came to bring it into our family, we knew it was a God-given opportunity! After years of running a home-based bakery, we were ready for a new way to share our love of sweet treats, and this little sno-ball trailer opened the door to something even bigger.
Now, it’s a full family effort, as a husband-and-wife team with our daughter involved; we pour our hearts into every sno-ball we serve. It’s more than just a business, Fancy Freeze is a way for us to share God’s love, bring joy to others, and stay rooted in our community.

Meet the Team
Jodi, co-owner of Fancy Freeze, is the creative heart behind it all. A former bakery owner with a serious sweet tooth, she brings years of flavor experience to every sno-ball, each one topped with handcrafted syrups, specialty toppings, and a whole lot of love. She’s all about flavor, fun, and making people smile, whether it's through a perfectly layered sno-ball or a kind word at just the right moment.
Her heart for God, family, and community shows up in everything she does. When she’s not serving up icy treats, Jodi’s leading with financial discipline at one of the nation’s largest nonprofits (where she’s been for almost 20 years), singing on her church’s praise team, or enjoying time with her husband, kids, and grandbabies; usually with something sweet nearby.
Richie, co-owner of Fancy Freeze and the “Freeze” to Jodi’s “Fancy,” brings the muscle, the trailer moves, and the steady support that keeps things rolling. Whether he’s backing the trailer into a tight spot like a pro, making a last-minute supply run, or casually serving up the perfect sno-ball, Richie is steady, supportive, and always up for a fun time!
He may try to keep a low profile, but we all know Fancy Freeze couldn’t run without him! When he’s not slinging syrup or fixing something on the fly, Richie is known as “Mr. President” at a Houston-based controls and hydraulics manufacturing company. His quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering support for Jodi are just a few of the reasons Fancy Freeze feels like family.
Alyssa, proud Aggie and daughter to the Fancy Freeze owners, is an essential part of the family operation; always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. From working events to behind-the-scenes planning, she brings creativity, energy, and a thoughtful touch to everything she does.
With a sharp eye for design and a passion for branding, Alyssa helps shape the look and feel of Fancy Freeze. She’s our go-to for graphics, social content, and fresh marketing ideas that keep us standing out. But she’s not just behind the screen, she’s on the ground too, scooping sno-balls, snapping photos, chatting with customers, and keeping our crew organized.
Her blend of creativity, drive, and heart adds a unique layer to Fancy Freeze, and we wouldn’t shine the same without her!
